Food Inspiration, Guide Rouge listing no where in sight..

According to celebrity chefs, my favourite being Anthony Bourdain, inspiration is supposed to be an important factor when trying out ones amateurish creations in the kitchen. I guess I should share some of my inspiration from this evenings battle in the kitchen. Below you find the view from our kitchen, and well.. I guess that counts for pretty good inspiration...

And before you come to see it for yourself, let me make a confession. Yes they are crops, i.e. there are some other houses around and what you see is the most center of our view... But hey, I don't follow the recipe when cooking either...

New photo blog by swedish newspaper SvD

Swedish newspaper svd.se has decided to open up a Photo Blog with posts by their photographers. First set of photos was posted from Afghanistan by Yvonne Åsell. The people over at fotosidan.se has a discussion going about the hipstamaticish tint on the photos, I don't mind the effects though since SvD has produced some really nice hi-res sets from afghanistan before..

Persian food.

Preparations for an evening among friends. What a great way to start the weekend.

Kulturfestivalen a.k.a Göteborgskalaset.

The Kulturkalaset here in Gothenburg offers plenty of photo moments. I went there yesterday along with the wife 'n friends and I'd just thought I share a few of the photos here.

More from Paris

Well, as seen from my earlier post below I focused on the people of Paris rather than the common sights when I was there. However I guess one can't be in the french capital without taking a few photos of their rather stunning buildings.. So here are a few..

Paris - My take, a different take..

Just spent a lovely weekend in Paris with my wife.

It is a truely wonderful city, no doubt about it. This time however, I decided not to focus my photos on the known sights of Paris. Instead I tried to "turn around" and catch a glimpse of the people living there. As you can see on the two samples below there is quite a contrast..

For my complete take on Paris, the set of 55 photos from this weekend, follow this link . Hope you'll enjoy them as much as we enjoyed Paris.

Eriksberg at night

Well, you know how it is. The smart thing to do would to be in bed, since one is having an early start tomorrow. So why do the smart thing when one can play with the new lens? Our balcony gives a great, yet quite narrow, view over Eriksberg in Göteborg. So I spent a few moments on the balcony tonight with the camera and the tripod. No photo made me really gasp, but I guess that's why they say practice is good for you. Anyway, I leave you with one shot that turned out ok.

Find your way to the photos

Today Google, might, announce Google Navigation for Sweden. This has been long awaited, being a free voice guided service. Head over to the great guys at Swedroid for additional information and an probable uppdate since Google is set to have press conferance later today.

A first step..

So, this is it. The first post in this blog. So far this is just small steps into the great unknown, the "blogosphere" that is.

Well, just a short recap of my last few days. Friday turned out to be a great day indeed. With some help of my good friend Robert Boström i was able to lay my amateurish photo hands on a Nikon Nikkor 70-200 mm /2.8 VR lens.

After a whole day trying out the new lens we ended up at Restaurant Bon in Göteborg along with my wife Maria. What a great way to end a great day.

Here are a few samples from the week end.
